COVID-19 Update

Updated: Mar 27, 2020

Dear GONG Community, We know this is a hard time for everyone, and your health and safety remain our top priority. It is with a very heavy heart that we've decided to suspend all gong baths starting today, 17 March, due to the rapidly growing concerns regarding COVID-19. While we'd love to continue to support those who find gong baths helpful during this time, it's simply safer to close the studio rather than unwittingly put anyone at risk. If you are booked into an upcoming session, credits for the session will be returned to your GONG MindBody account. Current session packages including the intro offer, class-packs, and memberships will be frozen and additional time will be added once they resume. All trainings for March and April will be canceled, and tickets will be rolled over to a future training of your choice. As we hunker down at home, we'll be tinkering with recording devices to see if we can capture the gong in a way that will allow you to throw your very own personal gong bath or one for your virtual office. When the weather gets nicer and people are once again allowed to breathe a little, we'll look to organize some open-air gong sessions (a BYO-mat format that allows for social distancing). Please do stay tuned and stay in touch so we can share these developments with you. Undoubtedly, your physical and mental health are under increased strain and you may be finding it more difficult to take care of yourself and others. If we can offer one small tip, it's to seek out experiences that you find supportive and try to avoid those that don't make you feel great. Reach out to old friends in far-flung places, call your elders, watch a funny movie, and try to limit your consumption of news or pick a certain time each day to check in with a trusted source. In the meantime, you remain in our thoughts and in our hearts. Thank you for your support and understanding as we navigate these unchartered waters together. Please do connect with us on social media (Instagram or Facebook) so we can follow your updates and share what we're working on to help people stay safe in silence and in sound. Don't hesitate to get in touch at hello@aboutgong.com or by replying to this email with any questions, concerns or if we can support you in any way. Best, Selma
